Goodbye My Elmo, Goodbye My Friend

Hi All
It is with sad news that I say, Good Bye to you all.
Elmo, for what ever reason was just a failed social experiment.
As you know the first Elmo never even made it out of Australia. He was posted, no update was ever received and well.. that was the end of Elmo #1.

Me being me, bought another one to start the journey all over again. BUT well for what ever reason, Elmo even though he made it to his destination, hasn't had an update and no news can be raised from the person he was sent to.

After spending a lot of money on buying the Elmo's, then the postage, setting up his travel journal all twice, I am not going to be doing it again. It is sad that in the spirit of what this was about, to 1) connect people from all around the world with a bit of fun, and 2) to bring smiles to a little boy who has cancer, that we can not achieve this now.

If Elmo happens to magically turn up at the next place, and a update is forthcoming, then I will reopen his blog and the journey can start again!!

Thank you to everyone who wanted to participate and was so excited to make it happen. Maybe i will start something new another time.

Elmo wanted to share this pic with you all. He is playing BBL at Margies and trying to win lots and lots of big bucks for her! Margie let Elmo play on the computer for ages, and she never got mad when Elmo mucked it up! Elmo liked playing at Margies today.

Lauren made me put on my PJ's to go to bed... Elmo is a little unsure about them. What do you think? Should Elmo tell Lauren no its not nice????

Well Elmo needs to go to bed now. Its been a fun and exciting day but boy is Elmo tired. Nite Nite everyone.

Hi Folks
This is Lauren updating for Elmo.

Unfortunately Elmo hasn't made it over seas. You all know that he was held for ransom, I paid it for his safe release and on that I thought he would be free.. but alas it wasn't to be so.
I have had the Secret Service, the missing persons, and the FBI, CIA and ABC looking for him. All his pals, Bert & Ernie, Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch have all been out looking for him also. But I really think Elmo is just gone.

So in the spirit of what this was all about to begin with we are starting again!
I have a new Elmo who I went out to adopt today. He is bigger and better and no one better ambush him this time!.

Hi Everyone!

Elmo is sooo happy. Elmo came home today with Lauren and now Elmo can go all around the world. Elmo is sooo excited to be doing this. Elmo is sad to hear that the last Elmo didn't make it. Elmo hopes that I don't get stuck in a box for too long.

Lauren has told Elmo that Elmo is going to go overseas and that in some places it will be cold. Brrr Elmo doesn't like the cold.

Well Elmo is going to go and get dressed for bed and have an early nite. Its been an exciting day and Elmo needs some rest. OHhh Lauren bought Elmo some new jammies today to! They are very cute - but Elmo is not sure anyone should see him in them!

OHHHH NOOOO they are keeping me captive!

Hi Everyone...

Boy is Elmo lost. Elmo has been in this box now for a really long time. Elmo doesn't really know how long because its always dark in here and Elmo can't tell day from night. Elmo has eaten all the chocolate in the box and then found a present for someone. But Elmo cant read the name. Elmo thinks its a present for someone. Elmo knows it has a B on there though. Maybe that's who is going to open the box??

A funny thing has happened. Elmo doesn't understand what though. Elmo isn't being sent on. The person who opened the box wants to keep me and is asking Lauren for some sort of thing to send me on. Elmo just doesn't understand. Elmo hopes Lauren will pay the 'ransom' and then Elmo can go on to visit the next person.

Elmo will write to you all again soon, I don't want the battery on my nifty lil lap top to go dead, so Elmo is saving it.

Please if you see Lauren and Gail, tell them that Elmo is OK but Elmo is starting to get reallly realllly hungry....

Oh My... Elmo doesn't know whats happening

Hi Everyone!
Wow what a time its been in this box. Elmo just doesn't understand whats happening. Elmo got put in this box (luckily Lauren put chocolate in here for Elmo to eat), and sent me off across Australia. BUT Elmo is still in the box.. Elmo has sat here and sat here and wondered what is going on. Elmo thought he might go exploring the box and lucky Elmo did. Elmo found this neat lil computer and Elmo is happy now he can talk to you all again!.
Elmo hopes that the box gets open soon. Elmo doesn't really like the dark.

Well everyone I hope the next time that Elmo gets to write to you that Elmo has been out and about to exciting places.!

Where is Elmo???

Hi Everyone

Elmo is not sure where he is.. I'm hoping that someone can help Elmo.
You remember those nice ladies that fell in love with me, and then took me to those lights in the sky and the plane with fire in its bum.. well Elmo doesn't understand whats happened now.
You see Lauren put Elmo in this box.. its dark and I don't know whats happening to me. She just put me on in there, kissed Elmo bye that was it.

Well Elmo doesn't know where he is going, but Elmo hopes its somewhere fun and that the people are nice. Elmo will be in touch when Elmo gets to where he is going...

Oh.. guess what Elmo found in the box?? Chocolate!!! yummmmm ohh Elmo loves Chocolate!!

Elmo's Nite at River Fire

Hi Everybody!
Wow what an amazing nite Elmo has had out at River Fire..
Elmo got to meet Rob and we went to see Margie (Elmo thinks Margie worked far to hard).
Elmo, Lauren and Rob walked around a big boat. Rob tells Elmo that its called the HMAS Dimantina. Elmo got to sit on a big gun! Elmo thinks that was fun. Elmo, Lauren and Rob had sasuage in some bread and then Rob told Elmo that the F 1-11's were coming! Elmo thought everyone was excited but Elmo still didnt know what it was all about! (boy does Elmo have some things to learn). Then wosh.. Elmo heard a noise and looked up and this plane came flying accross and had a fire in his bum (hehe Elmo said Bum!).... and then all these pretty lights started shooting up in the sky. Boy it was loud, but lucky Elmo was cuddled up with Lauren and Rob so Elmo wasnt scared. Elmo liked it when they made the fireworks in the shape of a love heart... Elmo thought that was sweet.

Elmo, Lauren and Rob got to talk with Margie for a lil bit, but she was still toooo busy. Margie took me inside and I sat on a big green thing... Elmo thinks it was a torpedo or something.. Elmo will have to ask Margie next time he sees her.

Here are some pics of Elmo at the fireworks.. and sitting on the big gun on the ship. Rob did tell Elmo what the gun was, but Elmo isnt good with numbers past 10 yet.

Well everyone, Elmo is really sleepy, its been a big day for Elmo and Elmo thinks its time for bed. Thank you Margie and Rob for takeing Lauren and Elmo out for a wonderful nite.

This is Elmo here. Today was such an exciting day for me. You will never guess what happened.

My forever family came and got me!!! Let me go back to the start and tell you how it all began

Elmo was sitting in my box in the store, just minding Elmo's own business when, these 2 lovely ladies walked up and started picking up boxes and looking at all the different cute, red, fury Elmo's. Then their eyes settled on me.... and it was an instant love.

Lauren and Gail took me home.

Here is a pic of them taking me from the store.

Then it was into the car, and they were so good and put me into my seat and off we went home.

Elmo is having lots of fun exploring my new house. Tonight Lauren has told Elmo that we are going to River Fire. Elmo is not too sure what Rive Fire is yet, but she says I will see the Dump and Burn. Elmo didn't want to tell her Elmo doesn't know what that is, so Elmo will just have to wait and find out tonight.

Elmo is really excited about starting his round the world tour here in Brisbane, Australia. Elmo can't wait to come and visit you all and see where you live and what fun Elmo can have.

Elmo needs to go have a nap now for tonight.
