Elmo says "Go the Lions!"

Hi Everyone!

Big Elmo greetings to everyone from a cold and wet Brisbane!

Tonight was Elmo's first ever AFL game. Elmo went to the 'Gabba' with Lauren, Margie, Ben, Dan, Lindsay, Steve and Rhonda to see the Brisbane Lions play Collingwood (the Magpies) It was a really mixed crowd with only Margie and Lindsay going for the Lions and everyone else going for the Pies.  Elmo had no idea there would be 38 000 people at the game. Because it was Elmo and Lindsay's first time at a game Elmo took Lindsay to the 'first timers tent' to get their photos with Jonathon Brown and Daniel Rich.

Brendan Fevola (Fev) kicked a goal!! Elmo cheered  "Fev is the best"!!

Elmo loves the football! Elmo thinks it is so much fun and the crowd of people really cheer loudly. Elmo has a sore throat from yelling "Go Lions"

Elmo got to learn a new song tonight too.. it goes like this......

Well Elmo had a fantastic night but its very late and Elmo needs some sleep. Lauren has told Elmo that there are a few things on this week that Elmo needs to rest up for.. like trivia night at the Glenn, and Lauren has booked Elmo in for a massage with Bek!

Elmo is relaxing at home

Hi Everyone!

Wow, Elmo is so glad to be back home with Lauren after Elmo did all that travelling. Elmo has been busy washing all of Elmo's clothes and blankets, unpacking the huge box of goodies that all of Elmo's new friends bought for Elmo and just relaxing.

Tonight Elmo got to have a wash and now Elmo is relaxing on the couch, tucked up nice and warm with the Kentucky Wildcats blanket that Eric sent home. Elmo thinks the blanket is really warm and Elmo says Thank you Eric.

Elmo and Bailey (Lauren's dog) got to have a snuggle up on the couch. Bailey still isn't too sure about Elmo but Elmo thinks Bailey is kinda spoilt!

Well tomorrow Elmo is off to Elmo's first AFL game. Elmo is going with Margie, Lauren, Ben, Steve, Rhonda, Dan & Lindsay!! What a big day it will be and Elmo really has no idea what the game is and who Elmo needs to be cheering for! So Elmo thinks its times for Elmo to go to sleep and be prepared for a reallllllly big night out.

Elmo is HOME!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOHOOOO Elmo is home!

So today Elmo is not writing this blog but Lauren is, and let me tell you am I one excited chickie! I arrived home from work to find this gigantic box sitting on the kitchen table.

The BIG BIG Box that Elmo came home in. I swear the one I sent him wasn't that big.

I checked out the box and noticed it had been opened and then this BRIGHT yellow sticker finally caught my attention!

 OHH NOO what did Eric send me!! Well that was my first thought.

Cutting open the box!!! Oh I can hardly wait to see my Elmo

And look who it is!! I picked him up and his voice chip had been left on. The first thing Elmo said to me when I huged him was "Elmo loves you so much"

The final host for this stage of Elmo's trip... Eric you are amazing. You have taught Elmo to gamble at Black Jack, to go to the races and to watch Basketball. Thank you for all the amazing gifts and the t-shirt for me!

So now Elmo will do some stuff here with Lauren and her family

for a bit before they head off overseas. Saturday night we are off to the footy, for Elmo to see the Brisbane Lions play Collingwood. Now Margie would tell you that the Lions will win, but gee I have my doubts!!

Anyway its sooo good to have Elmo home and Im sooo excited by everything that is in his box.

Elmo's Last day in Kentucky with Eric :(

Well its time for Elmo to go home to Australia to Lauren, but before Elmo leaves Eric, Elmo has one more stop to make. Elmo went to church with Eric to say goodbye to Rev Roz.

It's been a fun time having Elmo for nearly the past 2 months, but he heads back home to Australia tomorrow!
 
 
So thank you Eric for the amazing time you have shown Elmo. Elmo certinally has had a ball and learnt so much about basketball, gambling and horse racing!
 
Elmo is looking forward to seeing Eric again in July in Niagara!!
 
Well Elmo is now inside the box and on his way back to Australia to Lauren. I cant wait to get him home and see all his cool clothes, his travel book and read all about his journey!.
